The BoiE UltraViolet is a heavy duty shock ozone treatment* machine that uses ozone producing UV-C light, rather than corona discharge. The UltraViolet is the most powerful, compact UV Light ozone generator on the market today, and at a fraction of the cost of bulkier systems. The 10,000 mg/hr ozone output is generated using a series of space-saving U-shaped high-ozone optics (ca.10 linear ft.) inside a 15-inch wide case and weighs just 14 lbs.

BoiE designed the UltraViolet to be the perfect ozone generator for warm and humid conditions where corona discharge ozone generators are less effective. Unlike corona discharge, the UltraViolet does not produce harmful nitrogen by-products in wet conditions. At 50 percent humidity and under high temperature, the UltraViolet will outperform a corona discharge generator that is rated 3 times higher.

The Ultraviolet is also effective at disinfecting viruses including corona-type viruses. During the SARS virus pandemic in 2003, shock-level ozone had a 99.22% kill rate¹ because pathogens like the coronavirus have no defense against ozone. Studies concluded that if COVID-19 is similar to other coronaviruses, such as SARS or MERS, it could live on surfaces like metal, glass and plastic for three to nine days.² Use the Ultraviolet to decontaminate the air and surfaces including fabric and carpets whenever needed.

How it Works:
The UltraViolet is as rugged as it is powerful, yet light and easy to carry. The unit's IPX7 certified rugged case is designed for the harshest environments on the planet and can be opened for service and locked for safety. The internal framework is all aluminum, including a reflective V-shield that increases ozone production while shielding the eyes from UV radiation. The ozone output can be toggled between half or full power depending on the size of the treatment area and the length of treatment.

The BoiE UltraViolet has a powerful intake fan in the rear that forces fresh air directly over the optics, blasting the ozonated air out the front. The rear fan guard has a filter that can be cleaned or replaced by removing two screws. The optics inside can be pulled out and replaced without any tools. A removable duct attachment on the front of the unit can be used to funnel ozone into vehicles, air ducts and small spaces, just like BoiE's corona discharge models.

The unit is simple to operate, service or repair and will never become obsolete. Comes with BoiE's marine-grade, straight-blade universal power Inlet that accepts standard extension cords, allowing you to leave the tangled power cords behind, and marine-grade AC receptacle to connect equipment such as fans or additional ozone generators.

Bottom Line:
UV ozone has the best cost-benefit when the environment cannot be easily cooled or dehumidified. Under cool and dry conditions, corona discharge machines cost less and produce more ozone. UV ozone is the purest type because its generation does not cause corrosive nitrogen compounds to form. A minimum ozone concentration of 10 parts per million is required to reach a fully-effective germ/virus/mold-killing level as established by the EPA's National Risk Management Research Laboratory.³ Don't be fooled by manufacturers that claim to shock treat large spaces with a small or unspecified amount of ozone. An ozone generator must produce around 1,000 mg/hr of ozone to shock treat an average 100 sq. ft. room. Low-power ozone generators will leave an ozone scent but odors will quickly return.
